I Bleed Words Sometimes

You’ll lose them all,

And then you’ll lose sleep over what’s lost.

You’ll lose your life,

You’ll lose your happiness,

You’ll lose everything you’ve lived for.

And then one day,

You’ll see how futile it was.

How utterly ignorant you were,

How ungrateful you turned.

And you’ll be ashamed

You let hurt, burn your life, taint your soul

Rotten your mind, disfigure you beyond recognition.

When all you had to do was look away.

Walk away.

In to the love that was standing at the door.

Imploring you to embrace it.

But you were naive. Stupid.

Not anymore.

That counts for more.

  2. I almost never leave responses, but I glanced through some remarks on this page Loss | Myshelle Congeries.

I do have 2 questions for you if you don’t mind. Is it simply me or does it look as if like a few of these responses appear like they are coming from brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are writing at other online social sites, I’d like to follow
anything new you have to post. Could you post a list of all of all
your social community sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

  3. I must have read this nearly 11 or 12 times by now and feel compelled to tell you, this is exotic. I have rarely come across writing that speaks so much with its controlled choice of words. So much stillness, yet it flows like a river, and falls off into a waterfall by the end. Fabulous work here…
